Like many other unaccountable and off the books 527 political organizations, Voices for American Families is funded and staffed by major American labor unions. In fact, the 1984 Democrat Vice Presidential candidate and the Democrat Governor of New Mexico currently serve as Vice Presidents.
Over the past year, Voices for American Families has called your home with wild claims of an un caring Congress and an indifference to the high cost of gasoline. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The U.S. House has passed major pieces of legislation to help improve the supply and availabilty of oil reserves and gasoline. This includes opening new areas for oil production, supporting new refineries and the development of alternative fuels. Additionally, when gasoline prices were at their highest following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, President Bush authorized the use of the Strategic Petroleum Oil Reserves to help alleviate gasoline prices and stabilize gas availability.
