Helping 5th District Families Meet Their Needs

Every day Ginny hears from families throughout the 5th District about the many issues families face on a day to day basis.  Whether it is making health care more affordable, improving education, or keeping our children safe from sexual predators, families expect Congress to work on their behalf.

Ginny has taken an active role in Congress to address those needs.  A member of the Suburban Caucus in the House of Representatives, Ginny has worked with a diverse group of Members to find solutions to everday needs.

Suburban Agenda

Over half of all Americans live in the suburbs. The Suburban Agenda is designed to meet the needs of families in four key areas: education, health care, conservation and the economy.

In May of 2006, The Suburban Agenda Caucus unveiled an agenda of seven bills scheduled to pass the House. All seven have either passed or been incorporated in larger bills and two have become law.

As one of the most effective caucuses in Congress, the Suburban Agenda Caucus unveiled “7 for ‘07” to build on the Suburban Agenda.
